When it comes to quality performance in hospitals, the key factors are standardization, consistency and high quality in training. Thanks to recent developments and a collaborative effort, the American Heart Association is now positioned to provide those factors to all the main hospitals in the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Defense. The Association has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Defense that provides an agreement over the next three years for the Association to provide training in Heartsaver, BLS, ACLS and PALS for all the main hospitals in the Ministry of Defense network. Ten hospital facilities have already signed the Training Center Agreement at the time of this blog, with more in process.

In the past 12 months, the existing Ministry of Defense AHA International Training Centers in Saudi Arabia have trained nearly 8,000 people in Heartsaver, BLS, ACLS and PALS. The American Heart Association is grateful to have the opportunity to extend our reach via the Ministry of Defense to provide outstanding levels of high-quality training to medical personnel in multiple areas of Saudi Arabia.
