Bill Murray has returned to his role as Peter Venkman from the Ghostbusters franchise, starring in a Halloween advertisement for electric vehicle maker Rivian. The ad shows Murray cruising through New York City in the Ecto-R1, a Ghostbusters-themed electric SUV created by Rivian.
The appearance comes as a surprise return to the franchise for the 75-year-old actor, though it is not connected to any film. Rivian put out the campaign on 9 October 2026, in the lead-up to Halloween.
