Ed Husic, Australia’s Industry Minister, criticised Labour’s internal culture after his proposal to allow a debate on recognising Gaza was rejected.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said described his statement at a meeting as incompetent.
Husic responded by saying he was unbothered by criticism, declaring reporters: "put me in a freezer, I don't give a sh*t."
The dispute followed unsuccessful tries to push the party to declare events in Gaza as genocide.
Party documents and internal files were later filed that revealed serious rifts within Labour’s ranks over policy and leadership.
