Dame Judi Dench has publicly criticized Petco for alleged poor treatment of birds. The actor, known for her love of parrots, accused the retailer of getting birds from breeders who kept them in small and dirty enclosures. Dench called for an end to bird sales at Petco, citing PETA's exposure of breeding factory horrors. The criticism comes as Dench has been vocal about her love for parrots and the humane treatment of animals.
