A marine mammal was moved from Marineland in Niagara Falls, Ontario to a Chicago aquarium. It died shortly after the move. The move was completed before the loss.

Marineland also transferred four dolphins and two belugas to an aquarium in Spain. Now the park has no dolphins left. Only belugas remain at the site.
