A marine mammal was moved from Marineland in Niagara Falls, Ontario to a Chicago aquarium. It died shortly after the move. The move was completed before the loss.
Marineland also transferred four dolphins and two belugas to an aquarium in Spain. Now the park has no dolphins left. Only belugas remain at the site.
The transfer left the grounds much quieter. Staff monitor water quality and animal health. Visitors observe significantly fewer animals. The park’s visitor count decreased.
The wooded surroundings remain the same. The water is still strong. The park houses only a few belugas. Visitors notice fewer animal shows. The water continues to be clear.
