Bandai Namco unveiled the Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-ZERO and the RG Project vision on July 23, 2026. Filmmaker Kenji Kamiyama is set to direct for the upcoming anime, planned to premiere in 2027. The project creates a fresh Gundam universe, entirely distinct from prior canon. The XARX-ZERO is connected to the forthcoming Gundam Rogue Orbit project. Kamiyama is working to build a new timeline for the franchise.
