Pete Hegseth fired a top four-star general who was urged to end an inside inquiry into a Kid Rock Apache helicopter stunt. Hegseth also presented upgraded military awards to Marines and other service members who fought during the 2021 Abbey Gate attack in Afghanistan.
The Pentagon claimed that Hegseth's official probe into the U.S. pullout from Afghanistan revealed concealed records. Along with the military probe findings, Hegseth stood firm by the LaNeve nomination despite reported hesitation expressed by federal lawmakers.
