Jasper Philipsen claimed Stage 17 of the 2026 Tour de France in a sprint finish. It was his first victory at this year's race. The stage finished with a duel between Philipsen and Mads Pedersen. Philipsen labeled the task extremely tough. The UCI defended after-hours doping tests carried out after the stage in response to issues brought up after the finish. Lidl-Trek beat UAE Team Emirates in the team classification. Jordan Jegat remained quiet in the general standings. EF Pro Cycling commented on the final result.
